Adaptive Content with Drupal
Creating structured, flexible content is increasingly important as we all access information across devices and within multiple contexts. This session dives into the ways Clayton and Joel have worked with clients to structure content to be adaptive, as well as create an authoring experience that promotes the “chunking” of content.
We’ll take a typical blog post with embedded media and a robust WYSIWYG and break it down into discrete fields to provide it with the structure it takes to adapt to various devices and platforms. We’ll take session participants from the beginning content audit through to the final product.
By the end of the session participants will be familiar with:
- Information Architecture tools to model content that adapts easily
- Helpful Drupal modules to aid in creating adaptive content
- Ways to customize the Drupal authoring experience to encourage users to create clean, structured content.
To wrap things up, we'll lead a discussion on other tools people are using as well as the way forward for adaptive content, including a prototype our team has been working on to easily add paragraphs and other pieces of content as their own fields.
