The Care and Feeding of your Online Community (with ice cream!)
You've installed Drupal, downloaded Organic Groups, added a few content types, and have your first community site. Ready to launch! Right?
It's really easy to get excited about about all of the technical features that Drupal gives us with minimal effort. It's also easy to ignore the core of your community site - that is, the structure of how your community will interact with each other every day. This session will show you how to design the framework for your community, using the most delicious of all metaphors: ice cream!
- Finding the right cone to scoop your community into
- Figuring out what flavour of ice cream your community is
- Iterating on the toppings that will make your content model both useful and desirable to use
- Moderating the temperature of your community so it's not too hot, not to cold, but just right
By the end of this session, you'll have the tools not just to launch an online community, but to help ensure it's sustainability and success.

+1 I have an interest in gaining a better understanding of building online communities with Drupal. UX considerations seem they could be a little overwhelming. Not to mention, ice cream is great and makes everything reach its full potential of wonderful.
