Drupal distributions aim to completely solve particular problems out of the box but sometimes they fall a little short. Even so, they can make a great starting point for your site development. This presentation will cover what you need to know to allow for creating an install profile that inherits from a distribution, what to look for in a distribution to judge whether it makes a good starting point for development, how to make and track changes in the original distribution and some best practices for using Drush make for development.
