How design research will help you solve the problem?

All of us are trying to solve a problem or a pain point for our users through features, websites, products and apps. We want to build a solution that is not helping our users but also helping us grow our business. But can we really solve a problem without understanding it completely?

Design research is an investigative process that can be an invaluable asset that will help solve the problem. It intends to give priceless information about the user behavior, goals, motivations, needs and pain points framed within context of a product. It provides key insights about the users which usability testing may not uncover.

This session will educate its audiences about the different qualitative and quantitative techniques that can be implemented with the constraints of time, development and budget. Some of the techniques include: contextual inquiries, persona development, surveys, interviews, and diary studies.

You should attend this session if you are UX designer/ researcher, project/ product manager, or interested in adding design research to your portfolio.
