Leveraging the Community and Other Techniques For Learning Drupal
Are you ready to learn Drupal? Already know some Drupal and want to increase your knowledge? Or maybe you've been around the block a couple of times and now need to learn a whole slew of new tools like Symfony, Twig, and a completely revamped configuration system. This session is about the various ways in which Lullabot's team members keep up with technology in a world where what you learned last week is probably obselete by the end of next week.
There are a whole pile of different ways in which you can learn Drupal. Reading blog posts, watching videos, participating in the issue queue discussions, submitting patches for your favorite modules and attending workshops, conferences and local meetups. We'll talk about how to leverage these different learning paths and make the most of each one and hopefully introduce you to some new ones along the way.
And just to keep things interesting Kyle and Joe intend to do a live recording of the session as if recording a new training video for Drupalize.Me and to release the results into the wild after completion. We like to practice what we preach and there's no better way to learn something than to teach it to others. Details TBD. Which means if nothing else at least you'll learn how to laugh.
