Over the past three years, Multnomah County has intentionally driven its development towards open source content management and cloud infrastructure. The public website (http://web.multco.us), animal services website (http://multcopets.org), social intranet (our own version of Commons built for government) and the new Library website (https://multcolib.org) were created from this effort.

The projects represent the best efforts of a small-but-efficient group of developers, designers and technologists that have a high degree of creativity and expertise. The products they produced are innovative and the reuse of code has been significant.
