Using Drupal to transform the way your organization manages its web content

This session will provide strategies to engage and empower your content owners while transforming from a centralized to a distributed model. We will present a case study about how we used Drupal at three government organizations to transform the way they manage their public information. Drupal improved the information quality by giving content owners access to their content and empowering them to improve their web pages and frequently update their content. The session will help attendees understand the:

  • Benefits of distributed versus centralized publishing models
  • Importance of a communication strategy to keep content owners informed
  • Role of the Drupal workbench module in maintaining quality assurance
  • Challenges associated with training 450 Drupal end users
  • Value of the Drupal Ambassador strategy in supporting end users

This looks like a great session. I am especially interested in learning more about the large scale training efforts. One of the biggest challenges of rolling out a new technology solution is user adoption. This seems like it speaks to that issue.
