summit of Drupal performance then this session isn't for you. We're
cheap. Dirt cheap. We want a web stack that is modern and
simple.
Speed is money everywhere, and much more so in the ecommerce world. A
slow site doesn't sell. On the other hand making a ecommerce site
be fast is not an easy task, the reason being that as soon as you add
something to the shopping cart you get issued a session
cookie. Therefore voiding common caching strategies.
By addressing the ecommerce question you'll be guided through the
process of identifying the problem, devising a cheap and as simple as
possible solution and implementing it. The ingredients are Nginx,

I will attend this session. I think that ecommerce sites are some of the hardest to scale, not just because of the logged-in-session issue, but because they often involve maintaining and updating large product catalogs, and generating metrics and graphs on the admin side.
These guys are doing it every day. Devs can learn a lot from them!
