Our Kegerator Dashboard: Arduino, Kegbot, and Drupal
Squishymedia built a KegBot (kegbot.org) to monitor temperature and flow data in our multi‐tap office kegerator. The data flows from sensor electronics installed in the kegerator through an Ardunio board out to server infrastructure which collects and analyzes the data for display in a Drupal‐based dashboard.
Our presentation will start with a brief introduction to the KegBot platform and our implementation, then will continue on to talk about how we used it to build a Drupal-based system for collecting data and displaying the data in a real-time dashboard. We'll also talk about why we built it; not just because we could, but because it's a great way for us to expand our skills with hardware integration and to test out new techniques for important stuff like load balancing, fault tolerance, failover, and real-time data and how that impacts the Drupal-based platform and front-end interface.

This is awesome :). I'd vote for this (if voting was enabled). Especially, if kegbot was in attendance.

I will definitely attend this talk . . . I think that as Drupal grows, integrating with physical things as well as internet APIs will be a part of the future.
