Stop Leeching and Start Collaborating: How you can benefit from the community

Many may feel that only large companies have the resources to contribute much back. This session aims to eliminate this myth by demonstrating how every individual can find some way to collaborate with the community, especially if you are a non-technical person.

The community is one of the most powerful things about the Drupal project, but if we continue to be ineffective at collaborating with our entire user base (not just the <1% of developers) then the project will eventually fail. We are also depriving a huge amount of our user base from the enormous benefits of the community by not collaborating with them more.

Stop leeching from a low-cost software project and start collaborating with a highly innovative team of global creatives!

Topics included in this session include:
* Explore the less obvious ways of contributing to Drupal
* Leveraging your non-technical skills
* Incorporating the community into every project (in ways that speed you up, not slow you down!)
* Getting every client involved with the community
* Educating others about collaborating with the community

This session will also touch on ways that we as a community are failing to benefit from contributions from non-technical people and propose some ideas about how to change that.

I like the idea of this. I've been using Drupal for many years as suite builder and administrator, but have seen very few ways I can contribute since I'm not a developer.
