The biggest Drupal Commerce project ever done
We will share the knowledge we have acquired while building the most challenging Drupal Commerce implementation ever.
This project, the ecommerce store-front of a leading jewellery and watch manufacturer (which name shall remain untold for the time being), was a very challenging implementation:
- A multi-everything project:
- Multi-country,
- Multi-catalogs,
- Multi-domain,
- Multi-devices,
- Multi-lingual,
- Multi-administrator
- Content equally important as Commerce: the platform is not only about selling products, but also about telling the best possible story about the brand, it's history, and display the amazing quality of it's products;
- Importance of workflows: the platform was not only expected to deal with the eCommerce of the brand but also is used to manage all the company's workflows (translation, legal validation, localization of the messaging and prices...).
Three speakers will share the stage:
- Laurent Chardin, CTO of Publicis Modem
- Damien Tournoud, CTO of Commerce Guys
- Julien Dubois, Lead developer at Commerce Guys

I will definitely be there . . . as a Texan I am actually required to attend any talk that claims to be about the biggest of anything.

p.s. I am particularly interested in the multi-lingual + multi-country part of the commerce puzzle (though all the rest sounds interesting as well). I played around with using Entity Translation with Commerce last year and found that it worked pretty well, so I'm curious as to any related pitfalls/issues/workarounds that might have happened for a real project.

Aside from being a big Commerce show case, this is also one of the biggest Drupal deployments, and certainly one of the technically most advanced projects I've ever seen or heard about.
If you see only one session this DrupalCon, this should be it.

Learn how Julien and the other Commerce Devs made THE CRAZIEST backend workflow I've ever seen built on Drupal. Bring popcorn and prepare to start taking notes.

A great example of Drupal and Drupal Commerce being implemented for a premier brand. Highly educational. And a beautiful site.

And the greatest thing about it could even be how it also became a multi-contribution source :-)
