The Future of Views
Drupalcon Portland 2013: Future of Views
Click here to listen to The Future of Views.
Views is used by 70% of all reported Drupal sites. Now that the Views module is included in Drupal 8 core, it will be enabled by default for all sites. While the module has been all but rewritten under the hood, using the module will seem almost unchanged to those comfortable with using Views in Drupal 7.
However, there are some important changes, and several new features. This session will highlight these differences, as well as discuss some best practices for Drupal 7 that will help prepare you for Drupal 8.
There will be an expanded Q&A section for all of your Views site building questions.
Audience:
You should have used Views before, but no advanced knowledge or coding experience is necessary.

In a nutshell, views is a module that gives you a tremendous amount of control over how your content is displayed. Do you want your content presented as headlines and teasers? As a slideshow, as a "block" in some pages but not in others? Views is what you use.
